Forget About Cracked And Dry Elbows In Three Simple Steps

If you have dry elbows you don’t have to worry anymore, because it is normal during this period of time, because elbows do not have sebaceous glands and therefore they need more attention from our side.

  1. Keep your elbows in hot water for a half an hour. Wash them with soft soap and rinse. You may add some essential oil in water for more hydration.
  2. Prepare an exfoliating solution based on lemon juice and baking soda. You need ¼ cup of baking soda and the juice from one lemon. Massage your elbows with this liquid and let it stay for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Baking soda is very efficient for removing dead cells and lemon whitens the skin.
  3. If you face cracked skin and you cannot use lemon you may try the following treatment: mix half a cup of brown sugar with two teaspoons of olive oil. Massage your elbows with this scrub and let it stay for five minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.

After these three steps have been completed it’s necessary to use a hydrating cream. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times a week until you get good results. You can also include this ritual in your routine and apply this scrub only once a week.
